How To - Raising a Credit Request

A customer can raise a credit request from the Invoice and Credit page (image 1 below) or from the Billing tab on the order screen (image 2 below).

The desired invoice that you wish to create a request against can then be selected (by selectingRequest Credit against it)

Populating the credit request

All invoice lines will be pulled through once Request Credit is selected. The user must tick each line in which they want to be credited and provide a reason for this credit. The Unit Cost can also be changed at this stage but is not a mandatory field.

Once the requested lines have been selected, a user can click Create Credit Request which will send the information to the supplier via email and show up on their version of Acquire.

Viewing credit requests

HO/Outlet and suppliers can view the status of credit requests within the invoice and credit note search screen. HO/Outlet users can go into pending requests and cancel if required. If a supplier has accepted/rejected a request this will show on this screen.

The Billing tab within the order screen also shows the information.

Credit request statuses can be as follows:

  • Pending: Supplier has received from the customer. Response from supplier needed.

  • Cancelled: Credit Request cancelled by the customer. No further action required.

  • Accepted: Accepted by the supplier. No further action required.

  • Rejected: Rejected by the supplier. No further action required

Once the request has been accepted, a credit note is raised against the invoice in question and will follow the usual process.
